Construction Inspector

Lochner is seeking a Construction Inspector to join their team. The Construction Inspector will be responsible for reading and interpreting complex contract plans, specifications, and permits, and ensuring compliance with contract documents. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 0-2 years of construction inspection experience.

Requirements

• Read and interpret complex contract plans, specifications, special provisions, permits, shop drawings and working drawings.
• Monitor and report on daily contractor daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications and other contract documents.
• Check lines, grades, dimensions and elevations using standard field measuring equipment
• Measure and calculate quantities of contract items for payments to the contractor
• Track labor, material and equipment used on each operation covered.
• Perform material testing on site as needed. Obtain material samples for testing as required.
