Job Description
LMI Technologies is a medium-sized technology company focused on developing 3D machine vision solutions for industry automation. The Vision Software Engineer role involves creating proof-of-concept and prototype inspection tools by applying machine vision and data processing knowledge. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and collaboration in a dynamic team setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in software and algorithm design for real-time 2D or 3D inspection applications.
- Expertise in areas such as pre-processing, filtering, segmentation, feature extraction and measurement computation.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Good mathematical background.
- Knowledge of 3D and/or sensor design.
- Knowledge of OpenCV, Cognex Vision Pro, Keyence, Halcon, Point Cloud Library (PCL), Matrox, etc.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Valid passport and ability to travel.
