Product Engineer II, Engine Components

Linamar is seeking a Product Engineer II to maintain and improve the performance of engineering infrastructure. The role involves optimizing facility/department performance through lean initiatives, maintaining standards, supporting engineering activities, and contributing to product development. Responsibilities include design, development, validation, and communication of product requirements.

Requirements

• Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction.
• Support and maintain department lean initiatives.
• Maintain department 5S requirements.
• Perform standard engineering analysis.
• Design, develop, and validate products.
• Perform design release activity.
• Support customer technical meetings.
• Translate functional requirements into design solutions.
• Support production launch activities.
• Develop and manage DVP&R.
• Support DFMEA and DFA activities.
• Support quote process.
• Support Linamar launch process.
• Participate in value analysis and value engineering.
• Manage and coordinate CAD and CAE support.
• Utilize problem solving techniques.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to domestic and international destinations.
