Job Description
The Data Center Operations Tier II Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining the data center infrastructure, including power, HVAC, security, and fire suppression systems. This role requires coordinating with vendors, technicians, and senior management to ensure operational efficiency and a high level of security. The position contributes to a DC Operations team within a leading provider, supporting non-business hours as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of two-years technical degree or 5-8 years equivalent experience in a technical environment or military MOS
- Proficiency in wiring types (Ethernet, Phone, CAT6, Fiber)
- Experience with data center hardware and software (Cisco, Fortinet, Brocade, etc.)
- Knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC) and monitoring systems
- Strong communication and analytical skills
