Maintenance workers are responsible to keep the mechanical equipment reliable while supporting the 24/7 plant operations. A Mechanic B is expected to be able to perform all functions of a Mechanic C including the below expectations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 3+ years of mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or the ability to demonstrate mechanical experience including some welding and minor equipment troubleshooting
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics to assist in troubleshooting equipment failures
- Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment in an industrial plant is required
- Read and understand one-line diagrams & schematics
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired
- Perform basic mathematical calculations is required
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license
- Self-Starter and able to work with minimal supervision
