The Floral Merchandising Team Lead will guide and support the Delivery and Merchandising team members through daily priorities and execution, providing hands-on coaching and creating a positive, inclusive work environment.
Requirements
- Lead the team in the execution of tasks: safe operation of VMI delivery vehicles, in-store merchandising, product care, and quality.
- Complete daily merchandising routes to quality and merchandising standards; fill in on open routes when necessary.
- Manage actual staffing vs. scheduled staffing, ensuring timely communication and alignment to daily work demands.
- Execute the daily labor plan and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support product picking, packing, staging, and truck loading for VMI routes.
- Execute onboarding and training plans with mentors to align new hires with leadership expectations and merchandising standards.
- Ensure essential supplies and tools are stocked and available to the team.
- Build strong partnerships with LBR store contacts, Sales, Product Management, and cross-functional departments by communicating key issues professionally and promptly.
- Promote a strong safety culture through team stretching, training on relevant safety subjects, safe backing certifications, and immediate response to safety risks.
- Participate in continuous improvement and standard work audits to drive performance into targets and improve processes.
