Job Description
Leggett & Platt is seeking a Commodity Manager within the Purchasing team to support their Automotive business, which focuses on providing seating and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers. The role involves developing global procurement strategies, building strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring cost optimization, and managing cross-functional teams. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years in a Category/Commodity management position
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment, Automotive experience preferred
- Experience in building cost models to understand cost, and how to apply the knowledge to achieve results
- Highly analytical skills with solid communication, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point, and Systems Database/Query capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and able to work in fast-paced environment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
