Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to residents, focusing on assessing their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning to improve their quality of life. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, providing hands-on assistance, and ensuring the safety and efficacy of therapy sessions.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in the state where work is performed
• Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting (preferred)
• Strong clinical skills in rehabilitative services
• Ability to build rapport with residents
• Commitment to resident-centered care and empathy
• CPR Certification
• 1+ year experience preferred (new grads and no experience welcome)
