The Materials Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 role will contribute to Lam's development of materials science and engineering data sets for application to wafer fabrication equipment hardware. The role involves research, lab work, knowledge documentation, and presentation of data, analyses, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Graduate student in Materials Science/Materials Engineering program
- Experience and strong familiarity working in a laboratory environment
- Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials, materials science, and reaction kinetics / thermodynamics
- Hands-on experience with performing and interpreting results from analytical methods such as microscopy, SEM, profilometry, etc. for engineering materials
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
