Job Description
Kraken is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Pro team, responsible for trading backend services such as matching engines, data gateways, and APIs. This remote, globally distributed team focuses on unlocking the potential of crypto and blockchain technology. The role involves building and maintaining high-quality applications using React, and is subject to work in progress.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web applications
- Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and proficiency with React ecosystem
- Strong experience of API design, security, and performance optimization
- Experience with Next.js and WebSockets
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling
- Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles
- Experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup
- Hands-on experience in consumer payments, crypto or fintech mobile applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
