Incident Response Engineer, Security Team

As an Incident Response Engineer, you will build a working leader responsible for creating a collaborative environment between Kong Inc. Security and impacted business/engineering teams, detecting, responding to, and recovering from incidents. You will also build a comprehensive base of knowledge around how Kong functions technically and process-wise, playing a key role in keeping Kong secure and compliant.

Requirements

• Experience in crisis management
• Insight of using incidents as opportunities to drive innovation and situation awareness
• Passion for automation and scalability via playbooks and processes
• Expertise in building and operating security information/event management systems (SIEM)
• Practical experience working with cloud technologies
• Ability to automate workflows via scripting languages
• Competency in Linux and Windows
• Ability to build and deploy solutions using Terraform and Ansible
