The Assistant Vegetation/Weed Control Supervisor position is responsible for inspecting and controlling noxious weeds within Klamath County, enforcing state statutes, supervising weed control crews, managing Weed Control contracts, and applying herbicides. The position requires knowledge of State statutes and County codes pertaining to noxious weed control and right-of-way vegetation management.
Requirements
- Experience or training in recognition and eradication of noxious weeds
- Thorough knowledge of Klamath County's road system and Oregon State Highway system
- Oregon Public Pesticide Applicator's License (Minimum categories: Regulatory Weed and Right-of-way)
- Valid Driver's License
- Oregon All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Education Card
- First Aid Certification
- CPR Certification
