Head of Climate (f/m/d)

KAYA is seeking a Head of Climate to lead their Climate Department, conceptualize and design large-scale nature conservation and landscape restoration projects in tropical and subtropical regions, and contribute to the organization's development. The role involves extensive travel and reporting to the CEO.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of forest, grassland, and arable ecosystems in tropical and subtropical climates
• Over eight years of experience in designing, developing, and managing conservation or restoration projects
• Over five years of experience leading a team of specialized staff
• Willingness to live and work in Berlin
• Willingness to commit to a full-time (40-hours per week) role
• Willingness to travel extensively and overseas for work, especially to sub–Saharan Africa
• Fluency in English; Portuguese, French, or Spanish are desired
• Education in environment, agriculture, forestry, and/or landscape management is desirable
