Job Description
Kanopi Studios is seeking a WordPress Technical Lead to join their growing team, focusing on client projects and team mentorship. The role involves leading technical execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and architecting solutions using modern development practices. Reporting to a WordPress Engineering Manager, the Technical Lead will guide project delivery, develop site functionality, and uphold the company’s high standards of quality, collaboration, and inclusion.
Requirements
- 8+ years of WordPress experience
- Deep expertise in WordPress architecture and custom development
- Proficiency in ACF, CPTs, taxonomies and REST API integration
- Strong JavaScript and React (Next.js) skills
- Solid PHP and SQL knowledge
- Familiarity with CLI, GitHub, Docker and multi-environment deployment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience mentoring or leading developers and managing distributed teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Valid US or Canadian work authorization
