Job Description
Kairos Power is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the Fuels Program. The role involves designing, constructing, and optimizing process equipment for TRISO annular fuel pebble fabrication.
Requirements
- Design, build and test prototype assemblies
- Lead and participate in design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and operation of First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend design modifications
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance documentation
- Lead and participate in system integration
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety regulations, and site-specific standards
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions
- Lead investigations into technical issues and implement corrective actions
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Train and mentor team members
