Job Description
The Pipe Layer position requires performing manual construction tasks under the supervision of a foreman, installing and repairing pipe systems, and ensuring site safety. This is an hourly, non-exempt position involved in heavy/highway construction projects.
Requirements
- Install or use tools such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
- Cut pipes to required lengths.
- Connect pipe pieces and seal joints.
- Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
- Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems.
- Load, unload, or distribute materials, machinery, or tools.
- Maintain clean work area.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks.
