Manufacturing Operations Manager (Welding) responsible for strategic direction, leadership, and administration of plant operations overseeing staffing and production. Develop and implement new business strategies to improve performance, promote a culture of safety and well-being, and manage morale in the facility.
Requirements
- 5+ years' previous management experience in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing environment
- Journeyman Welding Certificate
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on plant and business processes
- Ability to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles
- Possess a clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, procedures, and other operational issues faced by the organization
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Critical thinking skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
- A sense of teamwork and community
- Experience in managing third-party service providers
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of local and federal regulations including AOHS and Employment Standards Code
