Job Description
Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized and passionate individual to join their testing team as part of a pilot-based aircraft manufacturing company. The role involves electrical and industrial process equipment design with a focus on vertical take-off and vertical landing aircraft, integrating industrial electronics, and ensuring safe operation in a novel test environment. The company designs and tests prototypes, aims for commercialization, and supports scaling manufacturing while achieving FAA certification.
Requirements
- B.S & 5+ years experience or M.S & 3+ years experience or equivalent experience
- Degree in Electrical, Power Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or relevant discipline)
- Experience in electrical design and integration of industrial equipment (single and 3 phase, high and low voltage systems and instrumentation)
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design, engineering drawing and electrical schematic creation
- Strong engineering knowledge and instincts, with demonstratable experience to solve novel or difficult engineering challenges
- Strong communication and social skills
- Hands-on attitude
