Quality Inspector, Composites (2nd Shift)

Joby Aviation is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of composite materials and parts for a VTOL electric aircraft.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years' experience in composite inspection or fabrication and mechanical inspection
• Knowledge of basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts
• Working knowledge of types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the different types of measurement scales
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Desired: 2+ years of on-the-job aerospace experience
• General knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system
• Basic knowledge of statistical terms and techniques, how to plot data, and how to recognize out-of-control conditions
• Basic knowledge of plan-do-check-act (PDCA)
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector Certificate
