Senior VAT Accountant

A boutique Maltese accounting and auditing firm is seeking a Senior VAT Accountant to oversee client accounting functions, ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT legislation, and financial reporting standards
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Proactive, organised, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team
