Automation Engineer

JELD-WEN is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the Pottsville facility by identifying opportunities for improvement and initiating actions to improve processes and production methods.

Requirements

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, time management tools
• Proficient with Rockwell Automation software, such as Studio5000, FactoryTalk View Studio and similar
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the industrial manufacturing area
• Fundamental understanding and application of tolerance and datum’s and how to apply them in Engineering and manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing process improvement techniques utilizing engineering methodologies a plus, including, but not limited to Continuous Improvements, SQDCI, Lean Six Sigma, TPS, etc.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills up and down the organizational hierarchy to include cross-functional teams
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition Software a plus
• Mechatronics
• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related technical degree. And/or Equivalent practical experience
