Job Description
The Weld Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and auditing weld procedures and processes used at Reading Truck Group. The Weld Engineer advances the welding process by developing, specifying, evaluating, implementing, and expanding the use of new welding technologies.
Requirements
- Define, specify and maintain the welding and joining procedures and processes to optimize manufacturing process safety, quality and efficiency
- Project manage welding and joining projects
- Design and analyze labor and space requirements, product design, quality requirements, workflow, layout of equipment and workspace to maximize efficiency, consistency and effectiveness of welding operations and projects
