Job Description
January AI is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to lead engineering efforts for both consumer and enterprise products. The role involves managing teams, owning delivery, driving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a position crucial for building efficient and scalable processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering management experience, including leading senior ICs.
- Proven track record in startup environments, navigating ambiguity and scaling teams.
- Strong technical background with TypeScript, Python, and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage delivery: sprint execution, process design, and accountability for timelines.
- Experience working across functions – collaborating with Product, Design, and Business Development stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Track record of coaching and developing senior engineers.
