Senior Chemical Process Engineer

Our client, a leading International Chemical Manufacturer, is looking to add an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to their team in Houston Metro. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing process solutions and conducting market analysis for new chemical products.

Requirements

• Develop preliminary process design concepts, including process simulations, reactor modeling, reactor kinetics modeling, product separation, and material balances for new technology based on preliminary yield and performance estimates from laboratory and pilot plant tests.
• Utilize commercial process simulation software (such as UniSim, Aspen, etc.) to establish the basis for the evaluation and optimization of design concepts.
• Provide input to the program team to ensure that the proper process setups, data collection, and analysis are being conducted to meet the project’s requirements.
• Perform preliminary market analysis of the product and make recommendations for the new technology.
• Identify and engage external vendors effectively to generate preliminary designs and cost estimates for specialized equipment.
• Initiate process conceptualization and development on a bench scale.
• Participate in all team safety activities and conduct all work with a high degree of attention to safety.
• Contribute to team effort and promote teamwork across interfaces to achieve objectives.
• Present technical results to internal stakeholders as well as at external conferences.
