Employee Benefits Advisor to help employers find health care benefit solutions, improve employee retention, and create or enhance employee benefits packages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business-related field and/or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
- Current insurance Indiana license or ability to obtain immediately required.
- Proficient knowledge of benefit design and set-up, administration, and regulations related to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA.
- Understanding of applicable legal reporting.
- Strong customer/client orientation, ability to facilitate discussions to resolve issues, obtain consensus and drive to conclusion.
- Professional designation preferred; appropriate designations include Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA), or Tax Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC).
- Motivated and goal-oriented, professional presence and demeanor, dedication to customer service, ability to travel in or out-of-state.
- Experience prospecting, networking and/or new business development, passion for making a difference in the community, stable work history, excellent communication and time management skills.
- Coachable and competitive spirit, ability to earn client trust along with excellent relationship management skills.
