Engineering Technician VI

ITC Defense is seeking an Engineering Technician VI to provide maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems and design complex equipment or systems. The ideal candidate will have 12 years of experience with a qualifying degree or formal technical training, or 14 years of practical experience with a High School diploma/GED. The role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Requirements

• Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems
• Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures
• Perform function tests and analysis on various systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components
• Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed
• Update web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment
• Prepare designs and specifications for complex equipment or systems
• Plan and execute approaches to solve technical and design problems
• Recommend and implement new design techniques to improve system performance
• Coordinate with contract personnel and other stakeholders to resolve design issues
• Design and conduct experiments and tests to validate preliminary designs
• Advise equipment users on redesigning solutions for operational deficiencies
• Oversee fabrication of pilot models and develop test procedures and specialized test equipment
• Independently manage projects or contribute as a technical expert
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians, ensuring completed work meets project objectives
