Job Description
IonQ is seeking a Senior Process Engineer - Packaging to develop and optimize microelectronics packaging processes and techniques to package ion traps for use in quantum computers. The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that leads IonQ's journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems.
Requirements
- Take ownership of and improve existing packaging processes
- Research and develop new packaging processes
- Perform sustaining engineering activities
- Execute new product introduction activities
- Lead failure analysis efforts
- Develop a deep understanding of system operation requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Experience with CAD software
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work
