Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on DOT over-the-road and refuse vehicles. The company, Interstate Waste Services, is a progressive and innovative provider of solid waste and recycling services in the country.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair powertrain, hydraulic, electronic, air and HVAC systems.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience repairing heavy duty trucks or 2 years heavy duty truck experience and associated trade school accreditation.
- Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information
- Must be computer literate, and have the ability to use computerized diagnostics to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
