Interstate Batteries is seeking an Operations Accounting Specialist to assemble, review, and distribute monthly financial statements to Company-owned distributors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial statements, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or 5 years of related Accounting experience
- A minimum of one year of Financial Reporting experience (Income Statements, Financial Statements, etc.)
- A minimum of 2 years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience preferably in the distribution industry
- Strong personal computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- SAP general ledger experience is helpful
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently but capable of working in a team environment as well
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, telephone, explanation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Well organized, with a high degree of accuracy, and very detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks on a regular basis, accustomed to tight deadlines, and able to juggle multiple projects under minimal guidance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
- Ability to use best practices and learn from others
