Communications Consultant - Social Change & Climate Change Adaptation (Jordan)

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is seeking a Communications Consultant to support the design and delivery of Al-Murunah+ (AM+) communications on social change, outreach, and knowledge products. The consultant will review IWMI communications briefs, develop a comprehensive communications strategy, and create high-quality content for various channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in development communications, preferably in the water, climate, or agriculture sectors.
• Proven experience working on donor-funded projects (e.g., FCDO, USAID, GIZ, EU).
• Demonstrated experience in producing multimedia content, including photography, short videos, and field-based stories.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills in Arabic and English.
• Established relationships with Jordanian media outlets and/or policy communications networks.
• Willingness and ability to travel to field sites (e.g., Jordan Valley, Mafraq, Karak, and other project locations).
• Prior experience with CGIAR centers or international research institutions will be considered an asset.
