Chemistry Teacher

Manthan School is seeking a Chemistry teacher for Grades 8–12 to deliver the Cambridge and CBSE curricula effectively. The role involves planning lessons, conducting practicals, preparing students for assessments, and maintaining academic records while differentiating instruction and collaborating with the department. Active participation in professional development and student mentoring is expected.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in chemistry is preferred
• Cambridge/CIE/IGCSE training or certification is a strong advantage for international curriculum roles
• 4–8 years of teaching experience in High School (Grades 8–12)
• Experience in handling CBSE board exams or Cambridge IGCSE/A Level Chemistry
• Strong content knowledge in Chemistry: Physical, Organic, and Inorganic
• Ability to deliver concept-based and inquiry-led learning
• Skilled in differentiating instruction to cater to mixed-ability classrooms
• Competency in evaluating performance, and giving constructive feedback
• Experience in conducting and supervising lab work and ensuring safety compliance
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, especially when interacting with parents and school teams
• Comfortable using technology in teaching – smartboards, Microsoft Teams etc.
• Ability to collaborate with peers, department heads, and academic coordinators
• Warm, approachable, and empathetic toward students’ academic and emotional needs
• Flexible and open to continuous learning and new teaching strategies
• Able to contribute to school events, house activities, and class teacher responsibilities
