Data Engineer Team Lead

Lead a data lake team, drive high-level projects, and take ownership of end-to-end feature development in a company that bridges new opportunities between buyers and sellers, platforms and clients, and brands and consumers.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or related degree
• 2+ years of experience in leading an engineering team
• 6+ years of data engineering experience as a developer, tech lead, or architect
• 4+ years of experience in Java
• Strong system architecture knowledge
• Experience in building high-volume and scalable applications
• Proficiency with cluster technologies, distributed systems, or streaming applications
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with pipelines/ Spark/ Kafka
• Experience with Vertica/ Redis/ Elasticsearch/ Hadoop
• Familiarity with Scrum methodologies
• AWS Service Experience
• Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and rollout plans
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
