Operations Manager - Assembly

The Assembly Operations Manager at INNIO’s engine manufacturing facility in Welland, Ontario is responsible for overseeing assembly operations, leading teams, and coordinating first-time quality and on-time delivery. This role focuses on process improvement, customer service, and team development within a high-volume, complex product manufacturing environment. The manager will drive safety and compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of production management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in operations management or engineering (preferred)
• Experience leading a large manufacturing workforce
• Experience in engine assembly or heavy equipment manufacturing (highly desirable)
• Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing certification (asset)
• Expertise in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong analytical skills
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Experience implementing process improvements
• Familiarity with inventory management
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
