Job Description
A Senior Java Backend Developer is accountable for development and maintenance of backend applications. In this role, you ensure the implementations that comply with the standards relating to performance, security and code maintainability, with respect of time and budget during all phases. You will be at the heart of our scalable technology platforms, being accountable for delivering common banking functionalities used in most of the propositions that ING offers to its customers.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in the same role in a 24/7 environment preferably within banking sector
- Proven skills in the Agile way of working
- Proven experience in application development with JAVA on/with J2EE platform, Spring, Spring Boot
- Advanced experience in REST & SOAP application services development
- Proven experience in Microservices architectures, implementation of robust API management
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture (MQ, Kafka)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Practical skills in automating the software development lifecycle via CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines
- Junit testing, Test Driven Development and Spring Integration testing
- Good knowledge of issue and code versioning tools (Azure DevOps)
- Good knowledge of DBMS and SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL)
- Good knowledge of IT Technologies
- Good English and Italian level (written and spoken)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Soft skills: Passion for technology, Excellence in execution, Result oriented, Teamplayer, Problem solving, Effective communication, Able to work under pressure, Available for on-call service upon request
