The Plant Manager will manage and lead overall plant operations, ensuring the achievement of plant targets for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost. This individual reports directly to the VP of Operations and is responsible for the overall safety performance of the plant, as well as directing plant operations for the manufacturing of products in accordance with process and product specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
- Responsible for the overall safety performance of the plant by ensuring procedures are followed
- Partner with Global Quality, EHS, and HR to ensure proper tools, processes, and training are being utilized
- Oversee food safety objectives (SQF) are followed and supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system
- Directs plant operations for the manufacturing of products in accordance with process and product specifications and quality standards, complying with contractual and/or customer requirements and meeting financial objectives
- Provides, justifies, administers, and manages the plant operating budget
- Responsible for plant compliance with all legal requirements
- Develop and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility
- Evaluate employees and provide suggestions for improvement
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Attract and retain superior talent to execute the Plant functions
- Develop plans that ensure operations run smoothly
- Reviews KPIs and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements to both processes and associate performance
- Implement contingency plan to the level required by the position
- Establishes a strong relationship with the customer(s)
- Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage to meet customer needs
- Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our employees and customer(s)
