As a Staff R&D Engineer, Sustaining, you'll develop breakthroughs that will revolutionize the future of stroke care, working directly with customer representatives, marketing, physicians, and regulatory affairs to understand user interactions and identify product opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience developing flexible medical device instruments
- MS in Engineering and experience in medical device development in a start-up environment preferred
- Statistical analysis Software (Minitab or similar) and CAD (Solidworks, ProE, similar) skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of and exposure to product testing and data collection
- High level of expertise with Product Lifecycle Management from proof of concept through manufacturing transfer including documentation control systems and design
- Experience working under quality systems designed to meet governmental regulations such as FDA, GMPs, QSR, ISO 13485/9001, and the MDD
- Experience leading a technical cross-functional team through all phases of product development
- Strong understanding of braiding, laminating, coiling, and laser cutting design and process constraints
- Ability to be self-directed with minimal direction and supervision and take initiative to discern from multiple priorities
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong documentation and communications skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
