We are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to join our team. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for directing and administering the hotel's financial operations, including asset protection, financial reporting, and team management. The candidate will also be expected to collaborate with the Director of Finance and department heads to interpret and analyze financial data, and provide functional guidance to the Executive Committee and department heads.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Five (5) or more years of experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and the Uniform Standard of Accounts for the Lodging Industry
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Experience with PeopleSoft ERP, Opera, Micros, and Essbase is highly desired
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence in order to motivate and influence others
- Ability to take the initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights; ability to help develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate
