Job Description
We are seeking a Hadoop/Bigdata Engineer with 8+ years of experience in leading teams or working in collaborative environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Hadoop tools, MapReduce, and big data technologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of people or technical leadership experience
- BS/MS or relevant technical degree
- 5+ years of Hadoop experience with large data sets and cluster environments
- Familiarity with Hadoop tools and languages (e.g. Python, Pig, Hive)
- Experience with Statistical Modeling, Data Mining, and/or Machine Learning
- Understanding of enterprise ETL tools (e.g. Ab Initio/Informatica/Talend)
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Results-driven and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
