Job Description
At idealo, data guides every decision. We are looking for a Data Engineer to support our B2C subteam in designing and implementing new processes that enrich our data and ensure high quality for downstream consumers.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related field
- Completed studies in computer science, STEM, or a comparable course of study
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java or similar
- Knowledge in SQL, relational databases, Apache Spark or comparable technologies
- Cloud providers AWS, GCP, or Azure and IAC frameworks such as Terraform, AWS CDK and AWS CloudFormation
- ETL/ELT tools such as Airbyte or dbt
- Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestrators
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices for ensuring compliance
