IDEA Exceptional Student RISE teachers are committed to reaching high achievement in students with a wide range of learning disabilities. They provide specialized instruction, resources, and support to students and their families to prepare them for college and adult life. This role is for Candidates that are currently applying. It is currently open and allows IDEA to gather information for a suitable position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Experience in an Exceptional Student Education classroom setting
• Valid state certification in Exceptional Student Education
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to a multitude of situations
• Strong family engagement
• Record of results for students
• Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
