ICAO Roster-Airport Aviation Security Expert

The Field Operations Section is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closure of Technical Assistance (TA) and Technical Cooperation (TC) projects. The job involves assessing the adequacy of existing aviation security arrangements and organization in airports within the country, correcting AVSEC deficiencies, advising on planning and assignment of responsibilities, and developing security plans and documentation.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent academic qualifications and training
• At least six years of experience in an airline, airport, government or civil aviation organization with supervisory and instructional experience in air and ground security matters
• Proven experience in the planning, organization and implementation of security measures for the safeguarding of civil aviation, aerodromes and facilities
• Ability to organize and implement bomb threat response procedures, anti-hijacking procedures and other aerodrome security measures
• Working knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) relevant to the Aviation Security specialty
• A good command of oral and written English
