Job Description
IBMC is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on the fintech industry. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure systems, automating deployments, and ensuring system reliability across AWS environments. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering teams to architect cloud solutions and provide mentorship to the wider team.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining production systems on AWS
- Hands-on experience with EC2, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AWS VPN solutions, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, ScyllaDB or similar distributed NoSQL databases
- Strong experience maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of AWS security best practices and IAM roles/policies
- Experience in performance optimization, cost management, and monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with serverless frameworks (AWS SAM, Serverless Framework)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and monitoring
- Experience with PowerShell for Windows-based environments
- Background in fintech, SaaS, or other high-availability systems
