Job Description
Humber River Health is seeking a Clerical Support Associate to work in our 11 East & West Surgical Inpatient Unit for the Surgical Program. The successful candidate will provide clerical support, including patient registration and discharge, maintenance of patient records, order entry, statistics, and assisting with patient billing. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred
- Minimum of one-year full time recent clerical experience
- Computer skills, keyboarding 40 wpm required
- Meditech computer experience is preferred
- Community-wide scheduling experience is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing a varied and busy workload
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment
