Asia Division Intern

HRW is seeking part-time student interns from April 2026 to September 2026. Interns will focus on research and advocacy relating to Japan's human rights issues, attending classes and workshops, and networking with HRW staff and other organizations. They can apply to projects that match their interests and abilities.

Requirements

• Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students
• Relevant coursework in human rights is encouraged
• Strong organizational skills, proactive approach, attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Japanese and English (writing and speaking)
• Valid work authorization in Japan
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, internet applications)
