A Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for ensuring that an organization complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a safe and healthy workplace for employees.
Requirements
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive environmental health and safety programs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations
- Conduct regular audits of company operations to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards
- Lead the design and implementation of safety training programs for employees
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety incidents and EHS violations and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations, and ensure the organization remains proactive in adopting best practices
- Promote a safety culture across all departments and leadership levels
