Job Description
The Scaled Nanotechnology department at HRL is focused on developing new, inorganic and polymeric functional materials. This position involves performing chemical reactions, polymerizations, and material processing within a wet chemistry lab, utilizing analytical tools and contributing to new proposals. A successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team and grow into a principal investigator role.
Requirements
- Experience with chemical reactions and polymerizations
- Experience working in a wet chemistry lab
- Experience with computational techniques (e.g., molecular dynamics)
- Experience with the use of computer software (e.g., spreadsheets & word processing)
- Knowledge of chemical analysis, thermal analysis, optical characterization, and basic computer skills
- U.S. Person Status
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (desired)
- Must be able to perform safely in a laboratory environment
