Job Description
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team in La Porte, Indiana. The role focuses on the metallurgical integrity and cost performance of investment castings, encompassing processes for all product lines – jet engine components, aerospace, and power generation components. The engineer will also support manufacturing operations and work with customers on design and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Develop new, and refine existing, investment casting processes to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.
- Support manufacturing in the processing of castings through all operations.
- Work concurrently with customers to design components for castability.
- Maintain and improve casting scrap rates.
- Improve casting rework rates.
- Improve casting profitability through cost reductions.
