Job Description
The IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Program Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for Horace Mann's IT Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) efforts. Core duties include strategic oversight, development and maintenance of BC/DR programs, business impact analyses, collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, and policy governance.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years in IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or IT Risk Management
- In-depth understanding of IT systems/infrastructure, data recovery, cloud resiliency models
- Proven experience leading BC/DR initiatives (individual contributor level)
- Expertise in developing BIAs, runbooks, and test plans
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.)
- Strong project and stakeholder management, along with excellent communication skills
