District Project Architect

The District Project Architect participates in the selection of project design consultants and manages external project architects, engineers, and design consultants in the development of plans and specifications.

Requirements

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Architecture (or related degree) with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the development of program scope, preferably associated with design and planning of public works projects
• Registration and licensure as a Professional through the Mississippi Board of Architecture
• Thorough knowledge of public works laws, design and construction ordinances
• Working knowledge of Hinds Community College and state capital planning standards and requirements is desirable
