Job Description
Hermeus is a venture capital-backed aerospace and defense technology company specializing in high-speed aircraft. This tooling engineer role focuses on designing, analyzing, fabricating, and using drill tools and associated equipment to support structural assemblies in the aviation industry. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing and production teams and driving process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in tooling design and manufacturing engineering.
- Hands-on experience with machining, additive manufacturing, and fabrication.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX).
- Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
